Ruth R. Greig was born in England and moved to Canada when her family emigrated in 1963. She has resided in Victoria, British Columbia since 1971 and therefore considers herself a native.

Ruth has had a lifelong love affair with the written word. She wrote her first novel at the age of 12, and has continued to write a body of work that includes poetry, short stories, and novels.

While working a day job in the civil service and watching as many National Hockey League games as possible (a bit tricky in the off season), she is currently preparing, editing and writing the next three volumes in the "Fixed Fire" series.
